Gold Ribbon Rescue is run by an amazing team of volunteers and funded by donations. Your donations help cover veterinary care, behavioral training and other expenses that are required to find “forever” homes for the many Golden Retrievers that come to us each year. Please note that adoption fees only cover approximately one-third of our medical costs.

Your contribution makes an enormous difference in helping these beautiful dogs start a new, healthy life in a safe environment. There are several options for making a Golden donation to GRR:

  • A General Donation helps provide medical care while dogs are in foster care preparing for their forever homes. In addition to the smile this brings to a healthy rescued dog, these donations cover general medical care such as vaccinations, exams, spay/neuter, heartworm treatment, ear and skin needs, surgery, etc.


  • Golden Angel Sponsorship makes a meaningful difference in the life of our Permanent Fosters, dogs who will stay life-long in the care of Gold Ribbon Rescue due to special needs. To see our Permanent Fosters and learn more about the program, click here.


  • Extraordinary Golden Fund (EGF) provides surgery and care for dogs that have significant needs that include hip surgeries, repair of broken bones, removal of tumors, ear and eye surgeries, knee surgeries, allergy testing, behavioral needs and a host of other items.   • In Honor of / In Memory Of lets you remember a special person on a special occasion, create a loving memorial (two-legged or four-legged) or simply say “thank you” to someone special. These donations are easy, meaningful gifts.


  • Gold Ribbon Donor Club lets you support a Golden on a regular monthly basis in a simple way. Donations are automatic and may be as small as $5 monthly.

  • Planned Giving allows donors of all incomes to make a gift to GRR in the future. Examples include wills and living trusts, life insurance or retirement beneficiary designations, or gifts of homes, vehicles and stock. There are many options from which to choose.
