Stevie and Little Miss are a happy, energetic pair of Goldens who would like to stay together.  Their previous family had medical issues and was no longer able to care for this pair so they surrendered them to GRR. Although Stevie and Little Miss have bonded, they each have their own personalities and traits.

Stevie is a big, long-legged handsome boy; everything is alright with him. He does have some health issues (more about this in a minute), but is totally unaware of them and is the very definition of unconditional love. You need to keep his water bowl up off the floor a bit so he doesn’t put his face in it and then come over and put his head in your lap --- giving you the appearance of wetting your pants. Do you ever have those guests who just will not leave? Stevie to the rescue!

Little Miss is a bit more laid back and prefers to snuggle and give kisses. She has a very soft coat and will visit everyone at the dog park, collecting smiles and pets as she socializes. She loves mealtime and will sometimes give you a “roo-roo” when she thinks a treat is coming. Both goldens love to ramble around the park and dance excitedly when they see their leashes. Little Miss generally takes the lead while Stevie stops to sniff clumps of grass. Then he bounds after her and they will both be side by side with their noses right together.

1.  Stevie has a kidney issue so needs special food and meds.  Although his kidney levels have improved significantly, they have not returned to the normal range. To help him digest his kidney-healthy diet, he takes an antiacid tab and probiotics before each meal.

2. Stevie’s back hips are a mess. Does he know it? Apparently not, as he romps around playing with other dogs. If he gets too active, he goes back on his leash to keep him calmer. Too much romping or walking too far makes him sore the next day.

3. Lastly, Stevie has Entropian, meaning his eyelashes turn under causing the lines below his eyes that you may notice in the pictures. He has had surgery twice for this condition and it no longer bothers him. He doesn’t rub his eyes or indicate any other sign of irritation.

4. Little Miss has a lump at the base of her tail. Like Stevie’s eyes, it doesn’t bother her. It has probably been there for a long time and should remain stable.

Stevie and Little Miss are an adorable pair of senior kids who would like nothing more than to be in a forever home together.  Do you have room in your heart for a pair of sweet goldens?
